NaKisha Tereese Hymon was the oldest child born to the late Faye Alice Hymon on January 11, 1971 in Savannah, GA. She grew up in the Greater West Savannah Community… Scarborough Street…. where she was affectionately known by All as “Pump” or simply “Kisha”.
At an early age, Kisha was baptized at Woods Monumental Missionary Baptist Church. She served within the Sunday School and Youth Department Ministries. In 1999, she joined the ministry, leadership, and teaching of Bishop Lee F. Jenkins, Jr. Kisha continued her appointed assignments by God through her dedication and commitment at Fresh Fire From Heaven Christian Church, Inc. She served on the following ministries: Performing Arts, Pastor Aide, Trustee Board, Children Church Teacher, Church Administrator, Finance Secretary, and Women’s Ministry.
Kisha was educated by the Savannah Chatham County Public School System. She was a 1989 graduate of Robert W. Groves High School, member of the Marching Rebel Band’s Flag Team, and an Alumni Executive Board Member. Also, she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2008 from Armstrong Atlantic State University.
Kisha was a former employee of the Savannah Chatham County Board of Education. During her tenure, she gained the trust, respect, and admiration from many students.
Kisha was preceded in death by her mother, Faye Hymon, her aunt-mother, Bernice Hymon Ford, grandmother, Carrie Hymon, great uncles, Isaiah, Paul, and Johnny Hymon, great aunt, Wilma Hymon, and special cousins, Vanessa Hymon and Eleanor Hymon Hagood.
On Saturday, November 20, 2021, Kisha answered as God called her name to be at peace.
Nakisha Tereese Hymon leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Jason Alexander Hymon; her siblings, Tranace Brown, Daryl, Amari, and Ian Middleton, Ashley Thomas, Brian Morgan, Darrell and Darnell Scott; four grandchildren, Ja’Layia Alexandria Hymon, Zymir Marley Hymon, Alexandria Jaeliana and Caleb Deshun Hymon, Atlanta, GA; godmother, Mary Louise Hucklebee, Piscataway, NJ; great-uncle Deacon Joseph Hymon (Gladys); best friend of 47 years, Melva Coles; two brothers, QuaEmbree (Audris) Hymon and Davon Hymon; two sisters, Caree J. Hymon and Shisiah Hymon; three godsisters, Rev. Sabrina Scott, Buford, GA, Rev. Tracy Odum, Piscataway, NJ, and April Hucklebee, Charlotte, NC; two special friends, Monique Chisholm- Tetterton and Lisa West; four godchildren, Madalynn and Joselyn Biggins, Quinton Timothy Quarterman and Bentley Hall; 18 nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends
Public viewing will be held 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 29, 2021 in the Chapel of Campbell & Sons Funeral Home, 124 West Park Ave., Savannah, GA. 31401. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Fresh Fire From Heaven Christian Church, 3704 Bull Street, Savannah, GA. 31405. Interment ~ Evergreen Cemetery, 4340 A.C.L. Blvd., Savannah, GA. 31405.
