of

Mrs. Tilisha Reata Futch – Collins

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die;…

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-2

A Time To Be Born

Tilisha Reata Futch, lady of valor, inner- strength and strong will.  She was born on February 9, 1992, in Augusta, Georgia to Mr. Derriel Futch and Mrs. Sandra Jordan Futch, the third child of three children. Tilisha was a genuine firm believer in God. Tilisha joined Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church at an early age and served in many capacities in the church.  She leaned on her faith and always displayed a generous and wholehearted demeanor that brought along warmth to all of whom she encountered. Tilisha was quiet yet a determined woman. She enjoyed walking, reading, riding through town, writing in her journal, going to the park and festivals with her husband along with her fur baby Bella (pet dog), and spending time with her family.

A Time To Learn

Tilisha received her early education at Collins Elementary School and Tattnall County High School, where she graduated with honors in 2010. During her tenure in school, she was active in sports and a basketball enthusiast.  Her achievements included many sports trophies and awards. Tilisha earned her Associate Degree from East Georgia College and her Bachelor Degree of Science in Child and Family Development from Georgia Southern University.  She graduated with honors on May 7, 2016.

A Time To Plant

Tilisha, a dedicated employee, began her work experience teaching preschoolers for three years at the YMCA and Childcare Network.  In 2019 she was blessed to become an employee of the Savannah Chatham County Public School System , where she taught 1st grade  until present.

A Time To Build

On a breezy day in 2010 on the campus of Georgia Southern University at the Sweetheart Circle, Tilisha met the man who became the love of her life. On February 13, 2016, Alvin Antwan Collins III and Tilisha Futch was joined together in holy matrimony. To this union, on May 19, 2021, one son was born, Leiam Antwan Collins. From day one, Tilisha exemplified compassion, honor and love for her son. She enjoyed the precious moments of motherhood and was extremely thankful to God for her new blessing.

A Time To Wear Your Crown

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

Psalm 90:10

On June 5, 2021, Tilisha took her flight where she would get her crown in her eternal home. Life race well run, Life work well done, Life crown well worn, and now she rests. Cherishing her wonderful memories and Christian legacy are a loving and devoted husband of five-years Alvin Antwan Collins III, one precious son Leiam Antwan Collins, loving and kind parents Mr. and Mrs. Derriel and Sandra Futch of Collins, Georgia, and two caring sisters Cozia and Twalla Futch both of Vidalia, Georgia.  A loving brother, Michael McRae preceded her in death.
