Dorian Albert Hamilton was born on December 13, 1963, to the late Tommie Adams and Doris Hamilton Adams in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dorian made his transition to his heavenly home on December 31, 2021.
He was raised in Philadelphia, where he received his formal education. He graduated from St. Joseph Preparatory School in 1982. He furthered his education at Fairleigh Dickinson University receiving a degree in Marketing in 1987. While attending, Dorian pledged and also was a founding member of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. His fraternity brothers held a special place in his heart.
Dorian and Tawanna were joined in holy matrimony on May 11, 2013. They shared the joy of raising daughter Sha'Quandra Allen and grandson Johnathan. From a previous union, Dorian had two children, daughter, Jonee Nicole and son, Nigel Daron.
Dorian worked in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years, with over half being a part of management. Currently, he was the General Manager of Fairfield Inn and Suites at I-95 and Highway 204, where he was valued and loved.
Dorian was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and “any” sport involving Philadelphia.
Dorian was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Yvonne Hamer. He had a special relationship with his father-in-law, Isaac Hamer, who preceded him in death two months earlier.
He leaves to cherish his memories: loving and devoted wife, Tawanna Hamer-Hamilton; one son, Nigel Hamilton; two daughters, Jonee Hamilton and Sha’Quandra Allen; grandson, Johnathan McNeal; step-mother, Mildred Hamer; three sisters, Cynthia Weaver (Earl), Donna Corsey (Warren) and Dori Anitra Keene (Terrance); step-sister, Angela Morgan; two brothers, Bishop Joel Adams and Jeffrey Adams; three sister-in-law’s, Yolanda Hamer (Kenasia), Kim Lewis (Doc) and Helena Adams; brother-in-law, William Hamer, Jr.; best friend, Kasim Brown; special nephew, David Weaver (Sabrina); special cousin, Rose Mary Woods; special family friends, Kintrell Briscoe, Katrina Orr and Darlene Washington Tyson; former spouse, Nicole Stephens-Hamilton and a host of close relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2022 in the Chapel of Campbell & Sons Funeral Home, 124 West Park Avenue, Savannah, GA. 31401.
