Obituary

We celebrate the life and memory of Mr. Esau Staley, Jr. whose death occurred Monday, May 11, 2020 at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, GA.

Mr. Esau Staley Jr. was born on July 10th, 1944 to the late Esaw Staley and Fancie Staplet. He was born in the Pleasant View section of Horry County, South Carolina. He was
affectionately known as Junior.

He is currently married to Lucille Green Staley. They were joined in Holy Matrimony in 2004 and have been together for nearly 40 years. She was faithful and a devoted wife through the many years of her husband sickness right up to the time of his death.

He was educated in the Horry County School System, and was Baptize at an early age at High Hill Baptist Church Nichols, SC. In 1962 he relocated to Savannah GA with his former wife Claudia Staley Brown and they joined the Fairmount Baptist Church. Six children born to this union. He served on the Trustee Board until his death. He was loved by everyone.

When he first move to Savannah, Georgia he was employed by the Savannah Housing Authority for over 20 years. He later was employed by the Savannah-Chatham Board of
Education Maintenance Department, until his retirement. He also was a Entrepreneur, with very little education he manage to own several Commercial Trucks, Rental Properties and purchased several homes. To God be the Glory!

He departed this life on Monday May 11th, 2020 in the Augusta University Hospital in Augusta, Ga. After a illness. He was preceded in death by Two Sons: Ronnie Keith Staley and Ramon Alan Staley. Two Brothers Simon (Wallace) Staley and James Edward Staley. He leaves to cherish his Memories, A Loving wife, Lucille Green Staley, his Mother Rose

Staley (Pamela) of Springfield, GA; Four Daughters Fancie Staley-Donnette of Savannah, GA, Vearlene Smith of Memphis, TN, Marlo Green, Katina White (Octavius) of Savannah ,GA; Two Brothers Johnny Lee Gause (Betty) of Sumter, SC, Donald Lee Staley of Germany; Two Sisters Bonnie Faye Sanford of San Diego, CA, Cherry Ann Stanley (Richard) of Myrtle Beach, SC; Two Brothers-in -Laws Robert Green Jr, Charles Green of Savannah, GA; Two Sister-in-Laws Arleen Bessie Staley of Trenton, NJ, Mary McCarr of Savannah, Ga; Twenty-eight Grandchildren; Thirty-eight Great Grandchildren; and host of Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public Viewing 1-6 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2020 in the Chapel.
