We celebrate the life and memory of Mrs. Delores Ann Shell Grant whose death occurred Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at her residence.

     Delores A. (Shell) Grant was born August 18,1947 to Mr. Willie and Daisy Mae Shell in Savannah, Georgia. She was an only child. Preceded in death by her parents, and brother
Mr. Herbert Shell. She was educated in the Chatham County Public School System and graduated from Sophronia Tompkins High School. She also received her CNA degree at Riley Institute. She was employed by Savannah Chatham Public School Systems as a Bus Monitor for 14 years.
     Delores was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. Keeping God at the center of her life, she become a faithful member of Willing Heart Ministry.
     Delores was true matriarch in every sense of the word. She had a big heart and made each individual family member feel special and loved. She could be counted on for giving encouragement and teaching everyone to believe in themselves. She was the leader of her tribe and for that, her legacy will live on forever.
     On April 29,2020 with all of her family by her bedside, she heard the voice of the Lord telling her to “Come Home and Rest From Your Labor” she fought a a good fight 'literally" until her last breath. She was a loving and devoted wife,mother,grandmother,and great grandmother. She loved her husband,children,and adored her grand children as well as her great grandchildren.
     Delores leave to cherish her loving husband of 19 years. Mr. Herbert Grant whom reside in Savannah,Georgia, Three Children: Pheon Brown whom reside in Atlanta, Georgia, Shannon Shell and Kathy Grant whom reside in Savannah, Georgia. Children by Marriage: Regina Grant-Middleton (Ernest) whom reside in Savannah,Georgia. Devoted and loving Uncle Sam Smalls whom reside Staten Island, New York. Sisters, Jacquelyn Jackson, Cheryl Mitchell, Zenobia Shell, brothers, Julian Mitchell Otis Mitchell, and Calvin Mitchell all of Savannah, GA, Eight Grandchildren: Candace Williams (Eric), Laqunda McDonald, Jaamal Baker (Claire), Marcus Shell, Avience Baker, Anthony Atkins, Jr, Asianna Grant, Dy’Quez Moore. Grandchildren by Marriage: Jasmaine Grant, Jamecia Grant, Raheem Middleton. Great -Grandchildren: Marquez, Marcus Jr, Raliegh, Isabella, Bentley ,Azyan , Noah. Host of Step Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Close Friends.  

Public Viewing will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2020 in the Chapel.
