Deacon William Richard Singleton

Deacon William Richard Singleton was born to George Sr. and Eva Singleton on December 20, 1942, in Savannah, GA. He was a graduate of Sophronia M. Tompkins High School.

He was a deacon at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Upon retirement, he worked at Candler Hospital for twenty-eight years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Eva Singleton.

On Tuesday, August 31, 2021, Deacon William Richard Singleton entered into eternal rest at Candler Hospital.

He leaves to cherish his memories, sisters, Ella Mae Sykes, Martha Jones, and Maggie Weaver; brothers, George Singleton, Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2021 in the chapel of Campbell & Sons Funeral Home, 124 West Park Ave., Savannah, GA. 31401. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021 in the Chapel of Campbell & Sons Funeral Home, 124 West Park Ave., Savannah, GA. 31401. Interment ~ Woodville Cemetery, 125 Spring Street, Savannah, GA. 31408.
