We celebrate the life and memory of Mrs. Daisy Moore whose death occurred Sunday, October 11, 2020 at her residence under the care of Hospice Savannah, Inc.
On September 28,1943 Mrs. Daisy Mae Sabb Moore became the 1st child to the late Mr. Willie Fred and Eula Mae Sabb, in Washington County. She was their one and only daughter of two siblings and they called her Daisy. From a child Daisy has always been a loving caring and giving person and she carried this same persona through out her entire life. Daisy came to Savannah Georgia at an early age where she finished out her education in the Chatham county public school system and graduated from Alfred Ely Beach High School (Class of 1961).
After graduation Daisy meet the love of her life a young man the late Mr. William Moore, Jr. and they both join as one union and married it was a union that lasted for 43 years and in this union they had seven children, Sheila Sabb Williams, Mary Moore, Sherry Sabb, Darrell Moore, Mark Anthony Moore, Tyrone Moore, and Latrell Moore. Daisy was a surrogate mother to many her nieces, grandchildren, godchildren, her children’s that she natured. Daisy gave her life to Christ at an early age where she joined Townsley Chapel A.M.E. under the late Jack Bradshaw until his season ended and was under the leadership of Pastor Lester Foster and while under the leadership of Pastor Foster, Daisy answered he calling in this ministry and she served on many mission wards she also served as a faithful Usher (door keeper). After such time at Townsley Chapel A.M.E Daisy decide to mover her membership to Second Saint John under the leadership of Pastor Eric Mason until her health failed.
Daisy labored long and hard in this lifetime she was employed for ten years at National Linen and decided to move further into her line of work with a family oriented business and started working at Savannah Sugar Refinery (Dixie Crystal) now known as Louis Dreyfus Commodities for 26 years of long deserving service. Daisy was so full of life no matter where she went she would light up a room and love on others that she came encounter with her smile and her personal being was well liked and loved by many that she crossed paths, Daisy was a dear friend to many.
Daisy Mae Sabb Moore was preceded in death by here parents, Mr. Willie Fred and Eula Mae Sabb grandmothers, Ms. Irene Ross and Ms. Clara Brookins of Newark, New Jersey, her father and mother-in-law Mr. William and Margaret Moore, brother-in-laws, Mr. John Thomas Moore, Arvin Moore, Gilbert Moore and Nelson Moore, her husband of 43 years, Mr. William Moore, Jr., one daughter, Mrs. Sheila Ann Sabb Williams, a son, Mr. Mark Anthony Moore, two grandnephews, Mr. Ahmad Clark and Mr. Jonathan Lang, two grandnieces twin girls, Na’Kengie and Nakiy Lang.
Early Sunday morning, October 11th 2020,Daisy overcame all her burdens and turn it over to Jesus even until the end she praised her way home with open arms to God. God knows she was the pillar of our strength the lord saw Daisy tired from her earthly life he sent down his heavenly angels to deliver the key to enter the pearly gates of heaven she would enter to receive her crown and reunite with her eternal family. What a time what a time.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories with one bother Mr. Willie Fred (Mary) Sabb, Jr., a sister Emma Lou (Jim) Brown, her children, Mrs. Sherry (Barry) Stanley Sabb Evans, Mrs. Mary (Rashad) Gibbons, Mr. Darrell (Brenda) Moore, Mr. Tyrone (Renee) Moore, Min. Latrell (Johnny) Sheffield, Daisy, was a surrogate to many children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Daisy, had the blessings to live to see many many generation to come nieces, grandnieces, grandchildren, great grand children, neighboring children to many to count dear friends and co-workers.
Public viewing will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2020 at Campbell & Sons Funeral Home (124 W. Park Ave. Savannah, GA)
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020 at God's Temple of Praise (1907 Burroughs St. Savannah, GA)
Interment -Evergreen Memorial Cemetery (ACL Blvd. Savannah, GA) (Liberty City)
