We celebrate the life and memory of Mr. Alphonso Spaulding whose death occurred Monday, July 27, 2020 at Landmark Hospital of Savannah.
Mr. Alphonso (“Al”/“Pee Wee”) Spaulding was born July 23, 1958 in Savannah, GA. to the late Cornelius and Celia (Armour) Spaulding Sr. He entered eternal rest on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Landmark Hospital in Savannah, GA.
He was affectionately know as “Al” and his childhood nicknames “Jap” and “Pee Wee”. Alphonso attended the public schools of Chatham County. He joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at a young age. He worked at various jobs in positions to include laborer and truck driver. However, in his own right and his own mind, he considered himself a Master Mechanic! Alphonso loved music, movies, watching wrestling, and gatherings with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Lula Mae Spaulding, Cornelius Spaulding Jr., OpheliaSpaulding, and twin sisters (who died shortly after birth).
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving daughter, Brandi Harris, a loving and devoted sister, Elouise (Samuel) King, a loving sister-in-law, JoAnn Spaulding, and nieces and nephewsinclude: Sherry Blige; Cynthia Spaulding (like a sister); Regina King-Simmons; Gerald (Rebecca) Spaulding Sr.; Stephanie King; Sylathia Spaulding; Samuel “Troy” King; Qudean Thorpe;Mark King; Persalphone (Courtney) Stafford; Nehemiah Harden (devoted) and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public Viewing will be held 5-8 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2020 at Campbell & Sons Funeral Home
Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Woodstock Cemetery
