The family later returned to Georgia, where Viola continued her academic journey in the Chatham County School System, attending Florance Street Elementary, Cuyler Junior High, and graduating from A.E. Viola's teaching career extended 30 years and spanned across South Carolina, Savannah, and Douglasville, Georgia. She was the Teacher of the Year for Chatham County Schools and throughout her career, she touched countless lives in classrooms, church programs, and afterschool initiatives Her dedication to education was matched only by her unwavering faith. A devoted Christian, Viola's love for God radiated through her work, her conversations, and the grace with which she lived her life.
