Richard Lyle Davis, 57, of Texas, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025 in Savannah, Georgia. Born on February 2, 1968, in Houston, Texas, Richard lived a life full of adventure, kindness, and love.

Richard was the devoted husband of Vickie Davis and a proud father to Richard Michael Davis (Spouse Brittney). He adored his three grandchildren — Zaylee, Caylin, and Maybree — who brought endless joy to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Lyle and Dana Davis, whose values and spirit he carried with him throughout his life.

In 2020, Richard fulfilled one of his greatest dreams — after previously becoming the captain of his own boat, he set sail. From the shores of Florida to the turquoise waters of the Bahamas and up the beautiful East Coast, Richard found peace and happiness at sea. Sailing wasn't just a passion; it was a reflection of his adventurous soul and his love for freedom and discovery.

Richard never met a stranger. His generous heart, warm smile, and willingness to help anyone in need made him beloved by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his caring nature and the light he brought into the lives of others.

A celebration of Richard's life will be held at a later date in Texas, where friends and family will gather to share memories and honor his remarkable journey.
