Obituary

Mr. Patrick Fitzgerald Griffin was born on April 27, 1965, in Savannah, Georgia. He was the sixth child born to the union of the Late Elder Rufus and Mother Frederica Griffin. Patrick was educated in the Savannah Chatham County Public School System, and graduated from the original Savannah High School in 1984. Patrick accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior as a very young man, and on June 6, 2022, Patrick accepted and was ordained as a Deacon of Love and Faith Kingdom Ministries, where he served faithfully.

Patrick was employed at the St. Joseph's Hospital for over 20+ years, where he not only served in the capacity of a Dietary Service Worker, but made it his business to pray for, give a kind word to, and share the love of Jesus with as many as patients he could. Patrick was not a stranger to anyone! Unfortunately, Patrick was involved in a hit and run accident and was deemed disabled. However, this did not stop him from working for the Kingdom of God.

Wherever Patrick found himself, he used it as a pulpit. Armed with the word and love of God, and a servant's heart, Patrick visited and prayed for the sick, visited local food pantries to deliver to the needy. Patrick purchased a van, and dedicated it to Kingdom work, where he witnessed to many souls and then transported them to and from church. He was the epitome of "If you want friends, show yourself friendly," as he visited many churches in the Savannah area as a show of support.

God called His good and faithful servant to enter into the joy of his Lord on Thursday March 27, 2025. He was proceeded in death by his Father and mother, Elder Rufus and Mother Frederica Griffin and two brothers, Frederick D. Griffin and Anthony W. Griffin.

Affectionately known and "Uncle Pat, and Bishop, he leaves to mourn six brothers, Rufus C. Griffin, Gregory A. Griffin, John L. Griffin (Auqetta), Barry K Griffin, Virgil W. Griffin, and Ronald T. Griffin Sr. (JaKeira), all of Savannah, Georgia. Six sisters, Lynda M. Green (Michael), Angela D. Allen (Dwayne) of Clermont, Florida, Debora T. Griffin (Savannah), Kathy R. Griffin-Glover (Paul) of Rincon, Georgia, Tammy M. Butler, and Sylvia Griffin-Davis (Walter) of Savannah, Georgia, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
