"A Life Filled with Divine Purpose"

July 19, 1955 - November 17, 2025

"Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."

Nehemiah 8:10

Patricia Caprice McCoy was born on Tuesday, July 19, 1955 to Charles Nelson McCoy and Dorothy Barnard McCoy in Savannah, Georgia.  She was reared in a Christian home filled with love, devotion and a desire to serve mankind. Academic excellence and exceptional work ethics were non-negotiable in the McCoy household, and Patricia fulfilled all of those expectations throughout her life. She enjoyed spending summers in North Carolina with her Aunt Jo who enhanced her skills in numerous areas, especially culinary. Patricia accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined Connor's Temple Baptist Church at an early age. She is currently a member of Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and brother Wesley E. Williams.

Patricia moved to New York, during her formative years, with her mother and siblings for better educational opportunities and exposure. Her cognitive, emotional and social skills were enhanced through a plethora of opportunities in very diverse settings. She was educated in the public school system of New York and attended several specialty schools.  She graduated from William Howard Taft High School with honors and Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology (now known as Clinical Laboratory Science) graduating with honors.  She worked as an American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) certified Medical Technologist for several years before deciding to change her career path to dentistry.  Her thirst for a quality education directed her to the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry (now the Dental College of Georgia of Augusta University).  She excelled academically, and upon graduation she practiced as an associate. She fulfilled her self-actualization when she opened her very own private practice in Savannah, Georgia. Patricia Caprice McCoy Brown, MT (ASCP), D. M. D. was the first African American Female, born in Savannah, to practice dentistry in Savannah.  She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and held membership in numerous professional organizations.

She met and married the love of her life Attorney Sage Brown.  They shared an unconditional marital bond for twenty-two years until he transitioned on August 22, 2015. This union was blessed with two beautiful children, Sage Brown II and Tasagdra Brown.

On Monday morning, November 17, 2025 Patricia received a call, at St. Joseph's Hospital, that her earthly assignment was complete. In the blink of an eye, she exclaimed, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith, and now I Shall Wear a Crown!" She was ecstatic when our Father invited her aboard the Heavenly Cruiser while being escorted by the Holy Spirit.  A GPS was not necessary because her destination was pre-determined, on the cross, many years ago.  Grace and Mercy permeated the atmosphere within her room with a clear pathway to Eternal Life, and she was instantly healed! The "Lamb's Book of Life" was verified that everything was in divine order for Patricia, and her mansion was ready for immediate occupancy with all the heavenly amenities at "No Charge!" The dividends of Salvation were transferred from her escrow account, everything was "Paid in Full" and the account was closed at the request of the Master. Patricia's journey took her beyond the celestial shores, in a gated community, where the streets are paved with gold, and every day is filled with "Fruits of the Spirit" in Paradise.

John 14:3 (NIV)
