Eddie Lee Morgan, Sr., 72, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Savior on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Born in Oliver, Georgia, on March 15, 1954, he was the son of the late Cora Lee Morgan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kathy Jennings Morgan; his children, LaTia Smart and Eddie Lee Morgan, Jr.; and seven grandchildren: Aniyah, Mike’jah, Mikah, Leonard “Trey”, Nevaeh, Emoura, and Journee. He is also missed by his brother, Johnny (Ola) Morgan; sisters-in-law, Jeanette (Oscar) Lewis, Julia (Frank) King, Sr., and Vianne Jennings; brother-in-law, Wilson Lee, Sr.; four godchildren; and a large network of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and three siblings.

Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at First Smyrna Baptist Church, 1509 Burroughs Street, Savannah, GA 31415.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11:00am at Tremont Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 1110 Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd. Savannah, GA 31401
