"Come Unto Me, All Ye That Labour And Are Heavy Laden, And I Will Give You Rest." Matthew 11:28

We celebrate the life and memory of Mr. Lester Howard Christie, 87, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026 In Pennsylvania.

A great lover of jazz music... and a long-time saxophone player!

Lester Howard Christie was born on August 14, 1938 in Savannah, Georgia, to Vernita Christie Anderson and Will Anderson. He was an only child and is preceded in death by his parents.

Lester started his early childhood education in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. He relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his parents at an early age and graduated from PA School System. Lester lived in PA until his death on June 2, 2026. He is finally united and laid to rest next to his mother in Savannah, Georgia.

Until his death, Lester was known to be the oldest Christie family member living. This family position he proudly, jokingly pointed out to his Christie Cousins. With that knowledge... he had the total respect and love of his family.

Upon his death, he leaves to mourn his many first cousins, his close Pennsylvania friend and special Pennsylvania family.

"Into your hands, father, I command my spirit."
