Joey T.
Spencer
Dec 15, 1981 — Oct 15, 2025
Joey T. Spencer, age 43, of Savannah, Georgia, entered eternal rest at his residence on October 15, 2025.
Born on December 15, 1981, in Savannah, to the late Joseph Spencer and Virgie Jordan, he attended Savannah Vo-Tech, where he earned his GED, and later pursued higher education with dedication and perseverance. In 2020, he received his Bachelor's Degree in Audio Production from Full Sail University, a milestone that reflected his drive for learning and commitment to personal growth.
Joey was employed at Nestle Health Science, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, dependability, and kind spirit. In 2025, he rededicated his life to the Lord, finding renewed peace and purpose in his walk with Christ. He was an active member of St. John Baptist Church-The Mighty Fortress, where he joyfully served in the Media Ministry. Joey loved working within the church, always willing to lend a helping hand, share a smile, or offer encouragement to others.
Music was a lifelong passion for Joey. He especially loved playing the drums. His love for music reflected his spirit — vibrant, heartfelt, and full of life.
Joey was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Spencer; his sister, Luvirn Perry; and his brother, Joseph Spencer, III.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his devoted mother, Virgie Jordan; his loving children: Khaulahe Spencer, Kumi Spencer, and Kimani Spencer; and his grandson Michael Williams. He is also survived by his brothers: Anthony (Marilyn) McGee, Leon (Laura) Spencer, Sr., DeCarlo (Jessica) Bryant, James Williams, and Malachi Fitzpatrick; his sisters: Monica Greene, Sonya Lewis, Chanel (Maurice) Dennis, Detra (Emmanuel) McDonald, Jessica (Andrew) Bess, and Savannah Brignac; and his brother-in-law, Clarence Perry, II; his uncles: Willie J. Holmes, II, Alfred Spencer, Sr., and Ivy Nesbitt; his aunts: Beatrice Magwood, Luvirn Holmes, Carol Bailey, Gail Spencer, Brenda Spencer, Lois Spencer, Debra Johnson, and Adrienne (Larry) Ware; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, church family, friends, and his significant other, Vernetta Howell and children: Vernon and Ayana, who will forever treasure his laughter, kindness, and strength.
Though his earthly journey has ended, Joey's legacy of faith, rhythm, laughter, and love will continue to live on through his children, family, and all who were blessed to know him.
