Janice received her early education in the Chatham County Public School System and was a proud graduate of Beach High School, Class of 1966. She went on to attend Savannah State University, where she earned her degree as part of the Class of 1970.
She dedicated many years of faithful service as a laboratory technician at Westside Urban Health Center, where her professionalism, kindness, and commitment to patient care touched the lives of countless individuals.
A woman of deep faith, Janice was a long-standing member of St. James A.M.E. Church, where she served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher. Her dedication to teaching and nurturing young minds reflected her quiet strength and enduring commitment to serving others.
Janice was united in marriage to Reverend Dr. Dan Stevenson, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and devotion. Together, they built a home rooted in faith, family, and mutual respect.
She is survived by her husband, Reverend Dr. Dan Stevenson; two children, Vida M. Hill Stephens (Jesse) of Savannah, Georgia, and Vincent M. Hill (Kelli) of Wesley Chapel, North Carolina; one daughter by marriage, Dana Anderson; one sister, Lisa Williams, and her children Ranell Williams III and Rachel Williams, all of Savannah, Georgia, who shared a special family bond with her; and five grandchildren, Jessica Danielle Stephens, James Willis Stephens, Jamie Danese Stephens, Ian James Hill, and Kamryn Gill, whom she lovingly embraced as her own.
Janice was a woman of quiet grace and strength. Her warmth, wisdom, and generosity left an enduring mark on all who knew her. She lived her faith not only in words, but through acts of kindness and steady love.
The family of Mrs. Janice Stevenson would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Sprenger Healthcare of Bluffton and to all the caregivers, friends, and neighbors who offered comfort and support throughout her final days.
