Deacon William Scott was born to the late Lottie Bond and Tom Scott on August 29, 1939 in Savannah, GA. He departed this life on Monday, August 18, 2025 peacefully with his family at his bedside. He was educated in the Chatham County Public School System. He started at Haven Home Elementary. Later, he graduated from Alfred E. Beach High School in 1957.

He was employed at Unijax and Skidaway Island Institute.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Tom Scott and Walter Bond; sisters: Ethel Scott and Elizabeth Bond; and stepdaughter, Brigitte Clark.

Deacon Scott leaves to cherish his devoted wife of 54 years and caregiver, Mrs. Vera Scott; children: Thomas Scott, Pamela Scott-Jenkins, William Scott, Kinlet Scott, and LaMonica Coleman (Joseph); Godson, Kenneth Bonds; five sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; as well as a host of grands, great-grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Public Viewing will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 10:00am-12:00pm at First Beaulah Baptist Church, 14 Railroad Avenue, Savannah, GA 31406.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 12:00pm at First Beaulah Baptist Church, 14 Railroad Avenue, Savannah, GA 31406.

Interment ~ Pinpoint Cemetery, 9630 Lehigh Avenue, Savannah, GA 31406.
