Cynthia Carol
Levett
Sep 11, 1959 — Sep 2, 2025
With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Cynthia Carol Levett, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on September 2, 2025, just days before her 66th birthday. Born in Savannah, Georgia, on September 11, 1959, Cynthia was a woman of grace, strength, and compassion whose presence touched all who knew her.
Cynthia earned her associate's degree in accounting from Saint Leo University, a testament to her commitment to education and self-determination. She brought excellence to everything she did, but her greatest calling was helping others, a passion that shaped her life and legacy. Whether through a listening ear, words of wisdom, sweet treats, or a selfless act, Cynthia always found ways to support those around her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her beloved mother, Leola McCound, and her father, Lucius Levett, Sr. Though their earthly presence is missed, their memories lived on in the spirit of love and resilience Cynthia carried forward.
Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory her devoted children: E'Lona Levett and Alonzo McKinney, III and daughter-in- love, Calethia McKinney. She was a proud and loving grandmother to E'yian Massenburg, Alan McKinney, Chloe McKinney, Landon Massenburg, and Ava McKinney, who were the lights of her life.
She is also survived by her siblings: Dr. M. Ann Levett, Lucius Levett, Jr., Sharon Levett, and Michelle Penn (Edward), along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Cynthia's life was one of quiet service, unwavering love, and deep spiritual faith. Her legacy will continue to live on through the lives she touched, and she will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Friends are invited to join the family for Cynthia's Memorial Service on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Campbell and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 2520 Bonaventure Road, Savannah, GA 31404.
