Rhonda M. Shank Anderson,65 entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Candler Hospital.
She grew up in Sandfly Community. She attended the public schools of Chatham County and was a 1972 graduate of Herschel V. Jenkins High School. Rhonda furthered her education attending college at the University of Miami to pursue a career in nursing in which her dreams passed on to her two daughters to become nurses.
She became a faithful member of Speedwell United Methodist Church and in later years she moved her membership to Sweetfield of Eden Baptist Church where she served in many capacities including the Choir and the Pastors Aide Ministry (P.A.M.).
Rhonda was previously employed by Mom’s Loving Daycare, Wesley Community Center, and BCG Medical Group giving many years of service before retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Betty White Williams, her grandmother, Ruby White Harris, and her husband, Carlton E. Anderson, Sr.
She leaves to mourn; two daughters, Catrena A. (Tyrone) Fields, Keshala A. (Jamal) Newton, two sons, Carlton Edward Anderson, Jr., Ronan Shank (Ebonee) Anderson, father, Roger (Mary) Shank, four sisters, Hazel D. Gaines, Ruby Williams, Suzanne Shank, Eleanor Golden, seven brothers, Michael (Diana) Scott, Tyrone (Pamela) Williams, Keith F. (Natita) Williams, Bernard Williams, Herman Felix (Lateshia) Williams, Rafeal Bowens, Jamerson Smalls, 15 grandchildren, Tori (Courtney) Anderson-Cook, Adonis Daniels, Jalyn Anderson, Kiara Cook, Tyra Fields, Tahj Cook, Elijah Heath, Zion Anderson, Nazarah Anderson, Bryce Anderson, Josiah Anderson, Chelsea Fields, Carli Newton, Eden Anderson, Carter Anderson, 2 great grands, Zane Anderson, Nova Anderson, stepchildren, Idelle Bradley, Carlethia Putney, Carlton B. Anderson, Calvin Putney, Latrelle (Carl) Gulatta, one uncle, Clarence White, a special cousin, John (Loretta) Freeman, godmother, Minta Mae Martin, goddaughter, LaTonya Mishell-Wingster Smith, one special sister-in-law, Mary Townsend, a daughter-in-love, Aderiaun Anderson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at
