Ms. Carolyn Lee Baldwin

December 26, 2019

Obituary

Entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 26,2019 @ Candler Hospital.

Ms. Carolyn Lee Baldwin was born on September 22, 1958 to the parents of James Baldwin and Daisy Bell Gordon in Savannah GA.  She attended Chatham County Public Schools.  She spent over 15 years as a Warehouse Clerk until she retired in 2012.  She was a dedicated baptized Jehovah’s Witness starting June 19, 1976.  She was a dedicated hardworking, loving, and caring mother to her three children, Mona, Crystal, and Gregory.  She taught us the value of hard work and self-sacrifice and to treat others the way you would like to be treated.

Carolyn enjoyed cooking, gardening, the outdoors, sharing and preparing meals for family and friends and sharing a laugh with her loved ones. She especially enjoyed going out in the ministry to help ones learn about Jehovah GOD and his purpose for mankind and singing Kingdom Melodies in her spare time and places of worship.  She had a special affinity for the older ones in the congregation and would call and visit them whenever she could.  Carolyn would often remark that “Jehovah is a GOD of Beauty” as she observed the beautiful array of colors and varieties in plant life and nature.

Carolyn will be remembered for her kind, loving, caring, and humble spirit. As well as her generosity she displayed unselfishly to others. Her endurance, strength, and courage when facing challenging circumstances will continue to be an example worthy of imitation for her loved ones and all those she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her father James Baldwin, mother Daisy Bell Gordon, sister Celestine Carter, and husband Norman Galvin.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters Monaretia I. Baldwin and Crystal N. Quarterman (Hasheem); One son Gregory Antwan Small; sister Sherry Elijah; brothers James (Vickie) Golden and Joseph (Sandra) Golden; niece Maleishia Bennett, nephew Jabbar Bennett. 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; Special friend: Frances Hutchinson and a host of other relatives and friends.
