Jeffrenia Sapp Tatum

We celebrate the life and memory of Mrs. Jeffrenia Sapp Tatum whose death occurred on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

The second of three children, Jeffrenia was born to Mr. John H. and Mrs. Carrie Belle Scott Sapp, February 4, 1944 in Jenkins County, GA. The family relocated to Savannah shortly thereafter and she spent most of her life here. 

A servant of God, she was a faithful and dedicated member of Tremont Temple Baptist Church where she served in several ministries.

Jeffrenia was the product of the public school system of Chatham County and graduated from Beach High School, class of 1962. She received a B.S. Degree  from Savannah State College (University) in 1966 and a Master's Degree from Atlanta University (now Clarke/Atlanta) in 1970. She retired from GA State Government Ad as Mental Health Administrator in 2000. 

She was active in several national and community groups over the years and was a Golden Life member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. 

Preceded in death by her parents, sister and husband, she leaves to cherish her memories a devoted daughter, Jeffrenia C. Tatum, one brother, Willie H. Sapp of Savannah, GA, one aunt, Elouise Beaufort of Beaver Falls, PA, a cousin (like a sister), Joyce B. Jones of Savannah, GA, nieces, nephews, gran and great grand nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters -in-law, Lynn Carter (James) of Bridgeville, DE, devoted great grand niece and nephew, Jamyra D. Horton and Jeremy Horton, Jr. other relatives and friends.      

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2019 at Tremont Temple Missionary Baptist Church

1110 MLK, Jr. Blvd. ~ Savannah, GA 

Interment ~ Hillcrest Abbey West

Visitation ~ 5-6 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2019 in the Chapel
